Week One!

Welcome Back!

The library had a good summer...we were open on Wednesdays for summer visitors and checked out almost 700 books to kiddos here in Budapest.

Many new books have arrived and more are on the way. View the new books list HERE!

In library classes this week, the focus is on getting to know each other. We'll play some name games and icebreakers, read stories about being back at school, and talk a little bit about library procedures.

Here are the main talking points!
All students are allowed to have ten books checked-out at a time
- Early Childhood students (PreK 3, PreK, K) may take two books per visit
- Primary students (grade 1-2) may take five books per visit
- Grades 3, 4, 5 students may take ten books per visit

Books are checked out for a two week period and may be renewed as often as necessary
We do not charge fines for overdue books!
If books are overdue, we will send out reminder slips about once a month

The library website is designed to support our classroom units and to be a safe place for students to browse and play games from home. We highly recommend that all parents bookmark the library website and use it at home as a starting point for computer use.
Students are not allowed to type in any website addresses or searches on our library computers; they may only access sites from the library website.
