Since new books come into our school only a couple of times per year, we decided to host a "New Book Open House" to showcase our new arrivals. Toni Buzzeo gave me the idea when she came for an author visit last month. We laid out all of the new books in each section of the library, provided snacks and drinks, and put out sticky notes and pencils for teachers to come "shop" for the titles they wanted. (That way they don't have to fight over the books :)
