Poem In Your Pocket

We tried out "Poem in Your Pocket" day this year. It was a good attempt and maybe we'll try it again next year with a few tweaks. Participating students wore name tags saying, "Ask me for my poem," and they loved getting stopped in the hallways by friends and teachers to recite the poem they chose.


Grade 2 teachers organized a Poetry Cafe with students reading favorite poems and hot chocolate for all.

And lots of kiddos popped into the library to share their poems, too.
